Profound change can follow having the space to explore and reflect on difficulties with a trained counsellor.
It can be bewildering looking through profiles and deciding which counsellor to work with. It may help to know that research has found that the most important factor in successful counselling is the quality of the relationship with the therapist. So finding a profile that appeals to you, and a therapist with whom you feel a sense of connection, is the first and most important ingredient.
